William has been a mainstay with The San Francisco Opera Chorus for over 20 years and has performed numerous roles on the SFO stage including: Keeper of the madhouse (A Rakes Progress), 1st apparition (Macbeth), and Arthur Jones (Billy Budd) to name a few. He has performed lead roles in Germany and Austria: with  Hagen Opera William sang such roles as Daland (Flying Dutchman), Rocco (Fidelio), Ramfis (Aida), and Basilio (The Barber of Seville), as well as many roles in operetta and musical theater.  William performs with the Bracebridge Dinner as “Nathaniel the Woodsman” at The Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite National Park and has been a member of that company for close to 30 years. Locally, he has sung on the stages of West Bay Opera, Berkeley Opera, Oakland Opera and Marin Opera. Recently, William was featured as Don Quixote (Man of La Mancha medley) in Sing for America’s benefit concert.

William was also featured in the Academy Award winner for Best Documentary Feature, In the Shadow of the Stars, an hilarious and affectionate look at the path to stardom in the world of opera.

For Island City Opera, William has appeared as The Bonze (Madame Butterfly) and The Commendatore (Don Giovanni). He is excited to return to ICO as Don Quixote.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
