Would you like to have fun and help a worthy cause? Island City Opera is a growing organization that needs helping hands with a variety of production, marketing and administrative tasks.
If you would like to volunteer, please contact our Volunteer Manager, at (510) 263-8060 or via email at email@example.com
It’s easy to volunteer with Island City Opera. Currently Island City Opera enjoys the assistance of many volunteers who carry out a range of administrative, backstage, special event and performance-day tasks. We will match your schedule and skills with our production needs. Volunteering is a great way to meet people, learn new skills and contribute to the arts in Alameda.
We are currently in need of help with Fundraising Event Production, House Management, Box Office Management, Marketing, Website Design, Website Programming, Ticketing System Management, and a variety of Production tasks.
Island City Opera’s Anchor Society provides vital support for ICO’s productions of the enduring art form of opera as well as our community involvement activities. Anchor Society Members have contributed $500 or more in support of the current season and many have contributed many hours of their time and energy as well to organize events and support ICO productions.
The Anchor Society invites all ICO patrons to attend the Anchor Society Lectures prior to each performance where the Maestro will take you to a deeper understanding of the performance, the historical context of the opera and the life-and-times of the composers, librettists and artists who created it all.
Anchor Society members are civic-minded Alamedans joined together in support of the art of opera in Alameda. We meet in the Elks Lobby prior to the performance to take in the lecture and to possibly enjoy a special drink concocted specifically for the night’s performance.
Many Anchor Society Patrons take in the Opening Night of each production together at the Anchor Society table; front and center in the Elks Lodge Ballroom.
Anchor Society Members are the first to know about the Anchor Society’s intimate musical events during the year at venues around Alameda as well as trips to other operatic events.
Anchor Society Members are listed in ICO’s program, website and on super-titles.
