Washington, D.C. native Eileen Meredith is a co-founder of Island City Opera. Possessing what reviewer Sally Hogarty called a voice of “heartbreaking beauty” she has performed numerous operatic roles. Favorites include Gilda, Lucia, Mimi, Cio-Cio San. and Leonora i(Il Trovatore). She has performed with the East Bay Opera League, Berkeley Piano Club, as well as San Francisco Symphony, San Francisco Sinfonietta, Oakland Youth Orchestra, and UC Berkeley Chamber Orchestra. She has served as Music Director for school musicals, and teaches privately in Alameda. She is a soprano section leader at Christ Episcopal Church.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
