A California native, Buffy has gained recognition throughout the United States as an accomplished and highly versatile lyric mezzo soprano. Hailed by the San Francisco Chronicle as “a phenomenon of vocal and dramatic intensity”. Buffy’s signature roles are Carmen in Carmen and Mrs Lovett in Sweeney Todd. Buffy most recently performed in West Edge Opera’s production of Lulu as Countess Geshwitz and in San Francisco Opera’s productions of Two Women as Maria and in Les Troyens as Queen Hecuba.
